For all Michigan State’s troubles, two pundits pick the Spartans to make a bowl game.

ESPN’s Brett McMurphy has MSU staying close to home, facing Wake Forest in the Quick Lane Bowl on Dec. 26 at Ford Field. Jerry Palm of CBS Sports put the Spartans in the Heart of Dallas Bowl on Dec. 27 against Western Kentucky.

The Spartans are 2-4 and need four wins in their last six games to become bowl-eligible.

Both have Michigan in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 2. McMurphy picked Michigan to face Washington State and Palm said UM will face Stanford. Mark Schlabach of ESPN says UM vs. Utah.

McMurphy has Eastern Michigan going to the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl against Colorado State on Dec. 22.

McMurphy and Schlabach have Western Michigan facing Troy in the Dollar General Bowl on Dec. 23 in Mobile, Alabama. Palm has the Broncos facing Appalachian State in Mobile.

Palm has Central Michigan facing Temple in the Miami Beach Bowl on Dec. 19. Schlabach and McMurphy also place Central in Miami Beach, against Houston.
