Former Michigan tight end Devin Asiasi has transferred to UCLA, according to a report Thursday by Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports.

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed last month that Asiasi is transferring.

“Yeah, he’s moving on. Transferring. He leaves in great status,” Harbaugh said at the time. “He was doing great in school. He was doing great in football. Really popular and well-liked by his teammates. We wish him well.”

Asiasi was a backup tight end as a freshman last season and was expected to be in the mix for significant playing time this fall. Michigan returns Ian Bunting and Tyrone Wheatley Jr. as its experienced tight ends.

At UCLA he will rejoin former Michigan pass-game coordinator Jedd Fisch, now the Bruins' offensive coordinator.
