Chris Partridge, Michigan’s linebackers/special teams coach, was offered an opportunity to coach linebackers at Alabama but turned it down, according to an ESPN report Friday morning.
Partridge is, however, potentially considering other offers, including staying at Michigan, per the report by Tom VanHaaren.
Partridge was named National Recruiter of the Year by Scout in 2016 and by 247Sports last year.
e joined Jim Harbaugh’s staff after five seasons (2010-2014) as head coach at New Jersey’s Paramus Catholic High. Partridge built it into the top-ranked team in the state and No. 4 nationally by USA Today.
At Michigan, he was named the director of player personnel in recruiting in January 2015, and was then elevated to an on-field role, coaching linebackers and special teams beginning in 2016.
