Max Wittwer, a dual-threat quarterback from Utica Eisenhower, has committed to Michigan’s 2018 recruiting class as a preferred walk-on.

“Thankful to announce that I have received an offer and am committing to the Michigan Wolverines,” Wittwer wrote on Twitter on Sunday. “Thank you God for giving me the opportunity to fulfill a childhood dream!!”

Wittwer, 6-2 and 185 pounds, committed to Air Force in December. He is ranked a two-star prospect by the 247Sports composite. He is the No. 52 player on The Detroit News Blue Chip list.

Luke Buckman, a 6-5, 215-pound tight end from Holland (Mich.) High, also announced that he would play for Michigan as a preferred walk-on. Buckman had been committed to Grand Valley State.
