Michigan has cancelled its home-and-home football series with Virginia Tech, scheduled for 2020 and 2021.

Michigan will pay Virginia Tech a $375,000 cancellation fee.

The games were to be played in Ann Arbor on Sept. 19, 2020, and in Blacksburg, Va., on Sept. 11, 2021.

Michigan added Arkansas State to the 2020 schedule, to join Washington and Ball State as non-conference opponents for that season. Michigan has never played Arkansas State.

Michigan has two dates to fill on the 2021 schedule.
