If you want a Michigan-slanted broadcast for its Final Four game Saturday night — or if you just want a little less Sister Jean overload — you’re in luck.
Turner Sports and CBS Sports announced their “TeamCast” commentators for the national semifinals, and the Michigan broadcast has some familiar names to maize-and-blue fans.
Matt Park, who has spent 11 seasons as the voice of Michigan women’s basketball, will be the play-by-play man, while Michigan alum Jay Feely — a former kicker who is best-known for his analysis on NFL games — will provide color commentary. Also on the broadcast will be CNN’s famed Dr. Sanjay Gupta, another Michigan alum, who will serve as a “sideline reporter” of sorts.
The Michigan “TeamCast” will be on TNT, while the Loyola-Chicago “TeamCast” will be on TruTV and feature Jeff Hagedorn, Jerry Harkness and Shams Charania. The game tips off at 6:09 Saturday in San Antonio.
The later game, Kansas-Villanova, tips around 9:49.
The traditional broadcasts, featuring Jim Nantz, Grant Hill and Bill Raftery, will air on TBS.
