UM, MSU tip times, TV info for 2018-19 released

At long last, the wait is over.
Roughly two weeks after unveiling its entire schedule, Michigan and Michigan State announced the game times and TV designations for the 2018-19 season on Thursday.
All 32 of Michigan’s games — 31 regular-season contests and one exhibition — will have national coverage. The Wolverines will have 12 games televised on BTN’s networks, 10 on ESPN’s networks, four on FS1, three on CBS and two on Fox. Broadcast information for Michigan’s national title game rematch against Villanova is expected to be released next week.
The Wolverines will likely garner plenty of attention and viewers throughout the season, but especially in late February and March when their final six regular-season games are broadcast on either Fox, CBS or ESPN.

Michigan will also have its fair share of late weeknight tip-offs. Three games will start at 9 p.m. (vs. North Carolina, at Northwestern, vs. Ohio State), two at 8:30 p.m. (vs. Norfolk State, at Penn State) and two at 8 p.m. (at Illinois, at Rutgers).
However, that late-night number could increase as Michigan awaits start times for four games. In nonconference play, the Nov. 14 Gavitt Games matchup at Villanova is TBA, while the Nov. 18 game against South Carolina or Providence will be at either 1:30 or 4 p.m. depending on if Michigan wins or loses the day before. Then in Big Ten play, the Jan. 6 home game against Indiana will tip at either 1:30 or 4:30 p.m. and the March 9 regular-season finale at Michigan State will be at 4, 6 or 8 p.m.
Michigan will begin the season with an exhibition against Northwood on Nov. 2 before hosting Norfolk State in the regular-season opener on Nov. 6.
In total, the Wolverines will have 19 home games, 11 road games and two neutral site games in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament at the Mohegan Sun.
