Michigan lands 2019 CB Sainristil, 2020 RB Baldwin

Mike Sainristil, a three-star cornerback from Everett (Mass.) High, has committed to Michigan’s 2019 recruiting class, he wrote on Twitter on Sunday.

Sainristil (5-10, 175) is ranked the No. 62 cornerback in the nation for 2019 by 247Sports.

Sainristil, who first committed to Virginia Tech, visited Michigan this weekend. He is the second cornerback commit in Michigan’s 2019 class, joining DJ Turner, and the 24th commitment overall.

“I’m happy to announce that I have found my new home and the school I will be attending for the next four years,” Sainristil wrote on Twitter. “This decision wasn’t easy but I promise it is the best for my family and I. I am now committed to the University of Michigan.”

Sainristil was also offered by Wisconsin, Ole Miss, Boston College, Indiana and others, in addition to Virginia Tech.

2020 RB Baldwin pledges

Tim Baldwin, a 5-11, 187-pound running back from Broad Run High in Ashburn, Va., on Sunday committed to Michigan’s 2020 recruiting class.

Baldwin announced his commitment on Twitter.

Baldwin is rated a four-star prospect by 247Sports; he is a three-star on the 247Sports Composite.

Baldwin is ranked the No. 29 running back nationally for 2020 by 247Sports.

“I am blessed and ecstatic to announce that I am committed to the University of Michigan,” Baldwin wrote on Twitter. “After careful consideration of which program gives me the best opportunities I have chosen to cut (my) recruitment short because I believe Michigan will do just that and more.”

Virginia, West Virginia and Boston College were among the other schools to offer Baldwin.

Baldwin visited Michigan this weekend for the Penn State game.
