Zach Charbonnet, who had 100 yards rushing and three touchdowns in Michigan’s win over Army, was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Monday.

Charbonnet is Michigan’s leading rusher through two games, with 190 yards on 41 carries (4.6-yard average).

The other weekly Big Ten award winners were Purdue QB Elijah Sindelar (offense), Minnesota defensive back Antoine Winfield Jr. (defense) and Ohio State punter Drue Chrisman (special teams).

The last Michigan player to be named Big Ten Freshman of the Week was Jabrill Peppers in November 2015.
