After Michigan’s loss at Michigan State, coach Jim Harbaugh and the players hit the reset button, stayed focused and referred to the final games as a four-game season.

Then after beating Indiana, it became a three-game season. It was the same message after the win at Penn State. Then after beating Maryland, the Wolverines approached the regular-season finale against Ohio State as a playoff — winner advances, loser goes home.
