Four-star RB O'Maury Samuels commits to Michigan

Los Lunas (N.M.) High running back O'Maury Samuels has committed to the Michigan, becoming the 11th member of the Wolverines' 2017 recruiting class.

He's the third running back commitment the fifth player rated four stars by ranks Samuels as the No. 1 back in New Mexico and the 23rd at his position in the nation. The 5-foot-10 and 188 pound tailback has been timed at 4.45 seconds in the 40-yard dash.

Samuels rushed for 1,468 yards and 21 touchdowns last season, averaging 7.9 yards per carry.

"He plays with a suddenness to him, is a decisive runner who can hit full stride in just a few steps and he's gone," recruiting analyst Brian Dohn wrote for "He's a fluid athlete with no wasted motion, can make you miss in the open field and isn't stiff or robotic like you see with some players that are as muscle bound as Samuels."
