Running back Najee Harris, the No. 1 recruit in the nation for 2017 as rated by Scout.com, will visit Michigan on Saturday for the BBQ at the Big House, according to multiple reports.
Harris (6-2, 220 pounds), from Antioch (Calif.) High, is a consensus five-star prospect and committed to Alabama in April 2015. Harris has rushed for more than 5,000 yards the last two seasons at Antioch.
“He has size, power, speed, the ability to run inside or outside, shows great hands out of the backfield, is highly competitive and works very hard off the field,” Scout.com analyst Greg Biggins says of Harris.
The BBQ at the Big House is an annual recruiting event at Michigan Stadium for college prospects. Harris’ primary recruiter at Michigan is running backs coach Tyrone Wheatley.
