Ann Arbor — DJ Khaled, a celebrity radio personality and record executive, will highlight the public unveiling the Michigan men's and women's new Nike Jumpman basketball uniforms next week.
The ceremony will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, at Crisler Center, and is open to the public.
Fans interested in attending must register at nike.com. It is free.
Khaled, a huge presence on social media with his nearly 3 million Twitter followers, will be joined at the ceremony by men's coach John Beilein and women's coach Kim Barnes Arico, as well as the players.
Michigan players will get their first looks at the jerseys during the ceremony, which is scheduled to feature musical performances and team skills challenges.
Michigan earlier this year parted ways with adidas and signed a 15-year agreement with Nike worth nearly $170 million.
The football team this year became the first in the nation to wear the Michigan Jordan Jumpman logo.
