Ann Arbor – Michigan appears to have two key defensive players back for Saturday’s game against Penn State.

All-American cornerback Jourdan Lewis, who has not played the first three games because of a nagging back issue, went through pregame warmups and was announced on the Michigan Stadium scoreboard as a starter.

Fourth-ranked Michigan (3-0) opens Big Ten play against Penn State.

Taco Charlton, who left the season opener with an ankle injury, also went through pregame warmups. It is unclear whether Charlton will play.

One surprise, though, was the appearance of running back Drake Johnson in uniform. Johnson has not been in uniform the first three games but went through warmups with the running backs.

Defensive lineman Bryan Mone, who was injured in the season opener, will not play Saturday.
