Miles as UM analyst? ‘Good suggestion,’ Harbaugh says

Ann Arbor – Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh said he hopes to speak to fired LSU coach Les Miles soon.
Miles, a former Michigan player and assistant coach, was fired Sunday after the Tigers started the year 2-2. He spent a dozen years at LSU. Offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, a former Michigan assistant, also was fired by LSU.
“I have the utmost respect for Les – Coach Miles and Cam,” Harbaugh said Monday at his weekly news conference. “Haven’t talked to them yet but I hope to soon.”
Miles, whose name was bandied about as a candidate during Michigan’s two recent coaching searches, played offensive line for Bo Schembechler at Michigan and was an assistant coach from 1987-94.
Harbaugh was asked Monday if he would consider having Miles join his staff as an analyst or appear as an honorary captain.
“Good suggestions,” Harbaugh said.
