Report: Harbaugh to visit nation’s No. 1 recruit Najee Harris
Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh reportedly plans on visiting five-star running back Najee Harris on Friday, during the Wolverines’ bye week.
Harris, the No. 1 recruit in the country for 2017 according to Scout.com, and his Antioch (Calif.) High teammates are playing Liberty on Friday.
Harris committed to Alabama in April 2015 but recently said he is “not 100 percent set on Alabama.”
“I’m going to take my five visits, but I just don’t know where,” Harris said. “Let’s say this: My mind isn’t set on Alabama. I’m not 100 percent set on Alabama. I’m trying to see what else is out there for me. I’m using my visits to see. As much attention as I’ve gotten, I feel like I have helped my teammates get some offers, too.”
Harris (6-2, 221 pounds) is a consensus five-star prospect with offers from major programs from coast to coast. He has rushed for 1,268 and 16 TD so far this season.
Michigan has three running back commits in its 2016 class – O’Maury Samuels of Los Lunas, N.M., A.J. Dillon of Groton, Mass., and Kurt Taylor of Loganville, Ga.
