Ann Arbor — Michigan’s multi-talented standout Jabrill Peppers is getting noticed all the time, from Heisman Trophy consideration to celebrity shout-outs.

After the Michigan State game, Reggie Bush, the former USC running back currently in the NFL, tweeted: “Jabrill Peppers #beastmode.”

Peppers responded to Bush on Twitter: “Man.. You are the reason I wear 5, I appreciate you man!”

After practice on Tuesday, Peppers said he has always admired how Bush played football.

“That’s the reason I wear 5,” Peppers said. “I tried to emulate my game after him growing up. That’s why sometimes I carry the ball a little loose, things like that.

“It was a real big moment for me, one of my idols tweeted at me. It was cool.”

The two have since messaged privately on Twitter.

“Got his number, so that’s dope,” Peppers said, smiling. “That’s dope.”

"“He’s very deserving of everything he’s receiving reward-wise," Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher says.
