Four-star G Aaron Banks picks Irish over UM, others

Aaron Banks, a four-star guard from El Cerrito (California) High, on Friday committed to Notre Dame.

Michigan was among his finalists, along with Oregon, UCLA, California, Nebraska and Tennessee.

Banks is 6-7 and 344 pounds and is ranked the No. 7 guard in the nation by Scout.com. His is ranked No. 150 overall on the Scout 300.

Banks announced his decision at his high school.

Michigan has four offensive line commits in its 2017 class – Kai-Leon Herbert of Plantation, Florida; Joel Honigford of Sugarcreek, Ohio; Andrew Stueber of Darien, Connecticut; and JaRaymond Hall of Oak Park.
