East English guard David DeJulius headed to Wolverines

Michigan picked up its first commit for the 2018 class shortly before its nonconference finale against Furman on Thursday night.
Detroit East English Village junior point guard David DeJulius verbally committed to the Wolverines less than a week after being offered a scholarship by Michigan coach John Beilein.
DeJulius (6-foot-1, 190 pounds) had been on Michigan’s radar for some time as he took multiple unofficial visits to Ann Arbor in the past year. He scored 46 points in a 79-63 win over Macomb Dakota last Saturday with Beilein in attendance and was offered shortly after the game.
DeJulius is ranked a three-star prospect and the No. 28 point guard in the nation by 247Sports. He also held offers from DePaul, Detroit Mercy and Oakland.
