Michigan linebacker Jabrill Peppers arrives for practice.

Miami Gardens, Fla. – Michigan do-everything Jabrill Peppers will not play in the Orange Bowl because of an apparent injury to his left leg.

Michigan’s team of Jim Brandstatter and Dan Dierdorf made the announcement on UM radio just before kickoff, and a UM official confirmed the news in the press box.

They indicated Peppers suffered the injury in practice.

Peppers was in uniform and went through pregame stretching, but he appeared to gingerly stretch his left leg. He also participated in pregame warmups but seemed to be limping.

He has missed two straight bowl games, last year out with a hand injury.

This likely was his last opportunity to play for the Wolverines. He likely will head to the NFL Draft where he is projected a top 10-15 pick.
