The Detroit News

J.T. Daniels, a five-star quarterback from Mater Dei High in Santa Ana, California, committed to University of Southern California's 2019 recruiting class on Sunday night.

Daniels chose the Trojans over his other three finalists – Michigan, Washington and Stanford.

Daniels (6-2, 205) is ranked the No. 1 quarterback in California and the No. 6 prospect at any position nationally for 2019 by Scout.com.

The Wolverines had two commits over the weekend. Louisville defensive end Stephen Herron and Akron (Ohio) offensive tackle Nolan Rumler picked Michigan on Saturday.
