Michigan football received its first commitment to the 2020 recruiting class as three-star Columbus, Ohio, Northland High wide receiver Kalil Branham announced Tuesday he plans to attend the school.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound pass catcher received offers from Ohio State, Pitt, Boston College, Kansas, Marshall, Kent State, Akron and Youngstown State. He also made unofficial visits to Wake Forest, Akron and Michigan.

Branham is ranked as the fifth-best receiver in Ohio by 247Sports, which also assessed him with a three-star rating.
