Defensive lineman Deron Irving-Bey has transferred from Michigan to Central Michigan, CMU coach John Bonanego announced on Twitter Monday night.

Irving-Bey, who redshirted last season at Michigan, has to sit out this season because of NCAA transfer rules. The 6-4, 294-pounder has three years of eligibility remaining.

Irving-Bey was a four-star recruit in the 2017 class. He made The Detroit News Dream Team in 2016 after registering 77 tackles, including 19 for loss, 15 of them sacks, as a senior. He also forced four fumbles and recovered two fumbles.
