Michigan lands nation's No. 1 safety Daxton Hill

Michigan has landed five-star safety Daxton Hill from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Hill announced his commitment on Tuesday.
Hill, who visited Michigan last weekend, is the nation's top-rated safety for the 2019 class by the 247Sports Composite.
"I thank all the universities for recruiting me and taking time to invest in me," Hill wrote on Twitter. "With that being said, I will be committing to The University of Michigan!"
Hill (6-0, 185) is ranked the No. 8 prospect overall for 2019 by 247Sports. He has been offered by all of the nation’s top programs, including Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma, LSU and Stanford.
Hill’s commitment moved Michigan up to No. 7 nationally (No. 1 Big Ten) in the 247Sports 2019 team recruiting rankings. He was recruited by UM’s Sherrone Moore and Chris Partridge.
Hill, who has been timed at 4.30 seconds in the 40-yard dash, was credited with 71 tackles, 11 pass breakups and five interceptions last season for Booker T. Washington High in Tulsa.
