Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh appeared Tuesday morning on “The Dan Patrick Show” and said he hears about rival Ohio State daily, and also shared some insight on television series he enjoys.

Patrick is appearing this week on Harbaugh’s podcast, “Attack Each Day.” He is an Ohio native and told Harbaugh he will be rooting for the Buckeyes during the Michigan-Ohio State game in Columbus on Nov. 24.

He asked Harbaugh if he can go a day without someone mentioning Ohio State.

“It probably gets mentioned once a day, sure,” Harbaugh said. “That’s a big deal around these parts, always has been, is and always will be.”

Patrick requested Harbaugh’s khakis for his studio sports memorabilia collection if Michigan beats the Buckeyes.

“I don’t see why not,” Harbaugh said.

Michigan is ranked No. 4 and has won eight straight since dropping the season opener at Notre Dame. Patrick asked Harbaugh if the Wolverines would like “another piece of Notre Dame” now.

“It never seems like a good idea to look too far down ahead of yourself, and it doesn’t really help to look behind you too much,” Harbaugh said. “Just be mindful of what’s straight ahead and right in front of you, the task at hand.

"Preparing ourselves to play Rutgers this week, that’s our task.”

Here are some of the show highlights:

On whether Harbaugh watched the Monday NFL game: “We did not watch the Monday night game. I was working. I was watching Rutgers. Usually into the season, I’m watching my own practice film or you’re watching opponent tape and you watch as much of that as much as you can. There are so many situations that you have to prepare for.”

On whether Harbaugh’s wife, Sarah, ever says there’s a television show they should watch: “She has. Usually in the offseason I’ll watch some of those. I have some real favorites I love to watch. I came back from a recruiting visit (during) the 19-inning (World Series Game 3). It was a little before 12 o’clock eastern time. ‘I’ll catch the last part of the game, it still might be going on.’ I turned on the TV and it was the bottom of the 10th and I watched it all the way to its conclusion (it took 7:20 to play). That was during our bye week.”

On whether he watched "The Wire" and "Breaking Bad": “I thought 'The Wire' might be one of the best all-time. I didn’t watch all the seasons. “

Did he watch "Breaking Bad"? “Oh, yeah. My favorite is the spinoff of the 'Breaking Bad,' 'Better Call Saul.' Gotta be the best.”

On how enjoyable it is to talk to his father, Jack Harbaugh: “I’ve heard that my whole life. My dad, you could have a 20-minute conversation with my dad and you walk away, ‘I really know him. I really like him. I really connected with him.’ Where I’m a little bit more, I don’t make the greatest first impression, but after some time …”
