Tullymore Golf Resort in Stanwood, Mich., will host a Symetra Tour event in 2015 on July 3-5.

The Tullymore Classic will be one of 23 events in 2015 on the Symetra Tour, which is the official qualifying tour of the LPGA.

At the end of the year, the top 10 finishers on the Symetra Tour money list will earn LPGA Tour membership for 2016.

The Symetra Tour has grown from 15 events in 2013.

The Tullymore Classic, a 54-hole stroke play event, will have a field of 144 players and the winner's prize will be $15,000 from a $100,000 purse.

"Tullymore Golf Resort is honored to have been picked as a tournament site on the 2015 Symetra Tour," said Tullymore CEO Terry Schieber. "Our staff members are eager to host the players and spectators and provide everyone an exceptional experience."

In 2014 there were two Symetra Tour events in Michigan. The FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship took place in Battle Creek and the Island Resort Championship was in Harris.

The final 2015 Symetra Tour schedule will be announced at a later date.

"I grew up playing junior golf in Michigan and college golf at Michigan State so it gives me great pride to see another women's professional golf event in the state," said Symetra Tour professional Laura Kueny, who has one win and four career top-10 finishes.
