Golfer scores prom date with Holly Sonders

High school golfer Andrew Orischak lost in the finals Saturday at the U.S. Junior Amateur, but he's still a huge winner.

Orischak, 16, scored a date to his prom at Hilton Head Island (S.C.) High with fetching Fox Sports golf reporter Holly Sonders.

During the U.S. Junior Amateur, Orischak made a bet with Sonders, the former Michigan State golfer, that if he won the event, she would accompany him to the prom.

It gave Orischak extra motivation as he made his way through the tournament leading up to Saturday's finals.

"If I'm feeling a little tired I just think: Holly at prom," he told Fox Sports.

Alas, Philip Barbaree, 17, of Shreveport, La., made a big rally, defeating Orischak after being down five with eight holes to play at the Colleton River Plantation Club's Dye Course in Bluffton, S.C.

Sonders rallied, as well, writing on Twitter that she would still go to the prom with Orischak.
