Anna Kramer of Spring Lake heads a field featuring the state's top players who will take part in the 26th Golf Association of Michigan Women's Championship Monday and Tuesday at historic St. Clair Golf Club.

The 36-hole stroke play event is presented by the LPGA Volvik Championship at the St. Clair County Club, which is marking 100 years of golf this year.

Kramer, who will be a freshman at the University of Indianapolis, will defend her 2016 title. Other top players include Katelyn Chipman of Canton, who was runner-up in the Michigan Women's Amateur Championship, Kerrigan Parks of Flushing, who was the stroke play medalist at the Michigan Women's Amateur, Sarah White of Caledonia, a semifinalist at the Amateur, and Stacy Slobodnik-Stoll, 1998 champion and Michigan State women's golf coach.
