Max Whipple scored five goals and Simon Roennecke added one and four assists Saturday as Birmingham Roeper (19-1) soundly defeated rival Oakland Christian, 7-0, in boys soccer.
"It was a banner day for both Whipple and Roennecke," Roeper coach Ed Sack said. "Whipple broke the school record for goals with 40 and Reonnecke broke the school record for assists with 32."
Calvin Lind had fives saves for his ninth shutout of the season.
Auburn Hills Avondale 64, Pontiac 7: Chase Lalla threw for 263 yards and five touchdowns, and Bobby Poore rushed for 54 yards and a touchdown for Avondale (5-3).
Chandler Park 22, Michigan Collegiate 13: D.J. Griffin had 18 carries for 155 yards and a touchdown for Chandler Park (6-2 overall, 6-0 Charter School Conference). Collegiate fell to 7-1, 5-1.
Detroit Cody 32, Detroit Northwestern 16: Jayvonte Bell had 32 rushes for 180 yards and Cornelius Kellogg threw for 90 yards and a touchdown for Cody (5-3).
