Logan Hendrickson scored two goals as Alliance Hockey picked up its first win of the season, defeating Madison Heights Bishop Foley, 4-1, on Saturday in boys high school action.

Hendrickson opened the scoring at the 14th minute of the first period for Alliance, which is made up of players from five high schools in the Thumb area — Dryden, Goodrich, Imlay City, North Branch and Lakeville.

Twenty-three seconds later, Zack Kippe made it 2-0 for Alliance (1-2). Hendrickson scored again at 4:36 of the second period, and Adam Green rounded out the scoring for Alliance with a goal at 7:51 of the third period.

Dominic Finazzo scored the lone goal for Bishop Foley (1-2) on a power play at 16:42 of the third.

Anthony Cronander stopped eight of nine shots for Alliance. Bishop Foley's Daniel Collins faced 37 shots, stopping 33.

Rochester United 6, Cranbrook-Kingswood 4: Cooper Stahl, Sean O'Leary, Jack Blumberg and Jake Nestell scored for Cranbrook-Kingswood (3-1).
