Tuesday's roundup: Lake Shore slips past Center Line

Down 14 points late in the game, David Shipp's layup with 3.4 seconds left propelled St. Clair Shores Lake Shore to a 50-48 victory over host Center Line in a Macomb Area Conference rivalry game Tuesday night.

Lake Shore coach Derrick Walton Sr. said his team got off to a slow start.

"We played sluggish (to start the game)," he said. "We had to fight to wake up."

Tyler James led the way for Lake Shore (4-3, 2-1 MAC Silver) with a double-double (10 points, 17 rebounds).

Chris Still paced Center Line (1-4, 0-1) with 20 points.

"I'm just happy we came out with the win," Walton said.

Ann Arbor Pioneer 52, Saline 29: Chris McGaughy had 11 points for Pioneer (5-2, 3-1 SEC Red) and TJ Roberts 10. David Elms scored six for Saline (2-5, 1-3).

Belleville 65, Dearborn Heights Robichaud 46: Mike Bruce had 17 points for Belleville (5-3, 2-0 WWAC). Arlington Ambright (15 points, 10 rebounds) added a double-double. DJ Mayo scored 12 for Robichaud (2-6, 0-3).

Canton 64, Wayne Memorial 29: Greg Williams had 26 points and Logan Ryan 17 for Canton (7-1, 2-0 KLAA South). Trevon Woods had 13 for Wayne Memorial (2-4, 1-1).

Detroit East English 80, Detroit Pershing 71: Karmari Newman scored 28 and Gregory Elliott 20 for East English (6-2, 3-0 PSL East).

Dearborn Edsel Ford 89, Dearborn 87 (OT): Chad Gailliard had 30 points and 10 rebounds, Julian Brown scored 23, and Donovan Farrell had 19 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists for Edsel Ford (5-3, 1-2 WWAC Blue). Farrell also scored the winning layup with one second left. Antonio Brintley had 28 points and Daoud Yunis 22 for Dearborn (3-5, 0-3).

Detroit CMA 48, Detroit Douglass 36: DeMonte Jones scored 20 and Jalen Hairston 15 for CMA (6-2, 3-0 PSL West). James Smith scored 15 for Douglass (4-4, 2-1).

Detroit Henry Ford 74, Detroit Cass Tech 50: James Towns had 17 points and eight assists, Antwan Johnson scored 12, Jamal Edwards 11, and Joshua Davis and Antaun Carter 10 each for Henry Ford (9-0, 3-0 PSL West). Rob Edwards scored 16 for Cass Tech.

Detroit Loyola 56, Dearborn Divine Child 43: DeQuan Powell scored 11 points, and Pierre Mitchell and Alonte Rice each had 10 for Loyola (6-2, 1-0 Catholic League AA). Liam Soragham had 20 points for Divine Child (5-4, 0-1).
