Tuesday's roundup: Lake Shore slips past Center Line


Down 14 points late in the game, David Shipp's layup with 3.4 seconds left propelled St. Clair Shores Lake Shore to a 50-48 victory over host Center Line in a Macomb Area Conference rivalry game Tuesday night.
Lake Shore coach Derrick Walton Sr. said his team got off to a slow start.
"We played sluggish (to start the game)," he said. "We had to fight to wake up."
Tyler James led the way for Lake Shore (4-3, 2-1 MAC Silver) with a double-double (10 points, 17 rebounds).
Chris Still paced Center Line (1-4, 0-1) with 20 points.
"I'm just happy we came out with the win," Walton said.
