After trailing by seven with 1:15 left in the game, senior Austin Paritee hit a 3-pointer with less than 20 seconds to go to lift Birmingham Seaholm over Berkley, 67-66, in an Oakland Activities Association boys basketball game Thursday.

"It was absolutely crazy," Seaholm coach Mike DeGeeter said. "There were a lot of turnovers and a lot of fouls. The last minute and a half, the coaches really had nothing to do with it."

Paritee's 3-pointer gave Seaholm a four-point lead, but Jonathan Radner answered back for Berkley, sinking a 3-pointer and cutting the lead to one with just over 10 seconds to play.

After stealing the ball on the ensuing inbound pass, Berkley had a chance for a last-second comeback, but missed the shot at the buzzer, giving Seaholm the win.

Austin Roth finished with 21 points for Seaholm (4-3), while Paritee added 20.

Roth, who averages 28 points per game, is coming off two back-to-back 30-point performances.

"He's definitely our leader and they focused a lot on him," DeGeeter said. "It gave (Paritee) the chance to take charge. Those two guys really carried us tonight."

Radner finished with 26 points for Berkley (2-5).
