Oak Park — Clarkston coach Dan Fife didn't know what to expect going into the OAA game Tuesday night because of transfers becoming eligible to play for the first time this season for Oak Park.

No kidding … Oak Park had a half-dozen transfers in uniform, with half of them in the starting lineup.

Still, Clarkston came away with a thrilling 69-63 overtime victory to remain unbeaten at 10-0 while Oak Park slipped to 4-3.

Clarkston senior guard Andrew Myers led the comeback, driving the baseline and finding Merrick Canada for a 10-foot jumper as time expired to force overtime.

Myers scored eight of his 15 points in overtime, making all six of his free throws.

"He's a heck of a player, great in the clutch, saw an open guy and got him the ball just like he needs to do," said Clarkston freshman guard Foster Loyer of Myers, who scored 15. "It was a heck of a play."

Tabin Throgmorton led Clarkston with 24, making three 3-pointers during the fourth-quarter comeback, then making two free throws to open up the extra session. Still, it was Myers' pass to Canada, along with great free throw shooting down the stretch which made the difference.

"I told Foster (Loyer) at the free throw line to hit me up and then I just went and he (Canada) yelled for the ball so I made the extra pass," pointed out Myers of the critical play to send it to overtime. "He trusted me and I trusted him. It was a great win."

Still, Clarkston needed Oak Park to miss some free throws to put itself in position to get the game into overtime. Oak Park missed three of four free throws during the final minute of regulation, including two straight with seven seconds leading to Myers' drive and assist.

Clarkston made 14 straight free throws during the final minute of regulation and in overtime. Loyer scored 14, making four straight free throws during the final 43.5 seconds of the fourth quarter. Canada scored 10.

Kelvon Fuller, a 6-foot-8 junior, scored 22 for Oak Park. Rodney Scales, a 6-6 senior and one of the transfers, scored 15.
