Farmington Hills Mercy jumped out to an early lead, 25-11 after the first quarter, and used that advantage to coast to a 56-41 girls basketball victory over host Harper Woods Chandler Park Thursday night.

“We jumped on them early, I thought we were really doing a nice job defensively,” Mercy coach Gary Morris said. “We had good defense leading to some good scoring opportunities.”

Mercy led by 20 at the half and Morris employed a lot of his reserves to put the game away.

Taylor Jones led the way for Mercy (11-2) with 25 points. Sierra Wright chipped in with 17.

BreAnne Lamar scored 18 for Chandler Park (7-6).

Allen Park Cabrini 36, Pontiac Notre Dame Prep 25: Madison Carter had eight points for Cabrini (4-11). Notre Dame is 9-5.

Detroit Allen Academy 51, Detroit Cornerstone Health and Technology 17: Kayla Sanders had 24 points and Jasmine Caldwell had 11 for Allen Academy.

Detroit Country Day 69, Detroit Edison Academy 46: Jordan Wright scored 15 for Country Day (11-0). Ashley Perry had 24 points and India Hawkin had 20 for Edison.

Grosse Pointe South 76, Utica Ford 45: Aliezza Brown had 28 points and Cierra Rice had 13 for South (9-3). Alex Sorgi scored 10 for Ford.

Madison Heights Lamphere 62, Warren Lincoln 22: Allison Denmark and Allison Schwerin each had 16 points for Lamphere (7-6, 5-2 MAC Silver). Lincoln is 2-8, 1-6.

Roseville 51, Warren Woods-Tower 34: Nija Collier had 34 points and 21 rebounds for Roseville (7-5). Bryanna Randolph scored 12 for Woods-Tower.

St. Clair Shores South Lake 65, Clawson 27: NaKyra Jordan had 28 points and Moet Dickinson and Khadajah Williams each had 11 for South Lake (8-2, 7-0 MAC Silver).

Birmingham Seaholm 53, Oxford 47: Austin Roth had 26 points and Austin Parite had 14 for Seaholm (7-4). Mason Bires scored 16 and Connor Elzerman 10 for Oxford (9-2).

Farmington 58, Royal Oak 41: Jordan Graham had 21 points and 10 rebounds for Farmington (6-6, 2-0 OAA Gold). Cordell Dupree scored 15 for Royal Oak (5-7, 0-2).

Ferndale University 81, Detroit Winans Academy 30: Gehringer Rameriz had 31 points and John Moore had 22 for Ferndale (9-2).

Hazel Park 74, Farmington Hills Harrison 60: Julius Giles had 37 points and David Hearns had 11 for Hazel Park. John Rexroth scored 21 for Harrison.

North Farmington 65, Rochester Adams 51: Anthony Qasawa scored 24 and Jeron Rogers had 17 points and 15 rebounds for North Farmington (12-0, 3-0 OAA Red). Spencer Littleson had 23 points for Adams (7-3, 1-1).

Riverview Gabriel Richard 51, West Bloomfield Frankel Jewish Academy 28: Jake Lipetzky had 15 points and 14 rebounds for Gabriel Richard (10-3).

Taylor Baptist Park 47, Inkster Peterson Warren Academy 41: Anthony Kaminski had 21 points and 23 rebounds to lead Baptist Park (6-4). Donovon Baxter scored 19 for Peterson (6-3).
