Farmington swept a doubleheader from East Lansing 8-6 and 7-0 on Saturday afternoon.

In the opener, Farmington scored four runs in the sixth highlighted by a game-winning double by Ravi Mahanti.

Mahanti came on to pitch two scoreless innings to earn the save.

In the nightcap, Farmington erupted for six runs in the first inning led by a two run double by Artie Bentley, who had three hits and three RBIs for the game.

Mahanti pitched five innings, allowing three hits and striking out six for the victory.

Farmington improves to 7-5.

Grosse Pointe South 6-14, Grosse Pointe North 5-10: In the first game, James Fishback had a two-run double and Dallas Clem tossed 3.1 innings allowing one run and two hits for the win for South. In the nightcap, Fishback went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and Alex Parthum had two hits and three RBIs for South (9-0).

Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett 9-8, Detroit Country Day 8-3: Jackson Walkowiak's two-run single in the sixth won the opener as Will Morrison went 3-for-3 with three RBIs. Sean Fannon was the winning pitcher in relief. In the second game, Morrison went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and Teddy Woujek pitched three scoreless innings of relief for Liggett (5-2).

Melvindale ABT 14-23, Dearborn Heights Robichaud 1-0: In the opener, Clemente Renoso tossed a no-hitter and Thomas Chandler had two hits and two RBIs for Melvindale ABT. In the second game, Chandler had three hits and four RBIs for Melvindale ABT (9-2).

Rochester 10-8, Auburn Hills Avondale 3-4: In the opener, Mitch Weber and Mark Matynka each had three hits with a homer for Rochester. In the second game Kyle and Mark Matynka each had a pair of hits for Rochester (9-2).

Walled Lake Northern 9-12, Farmington Hills Harrison 0-14: In the first game, Blake Randall tossed a complete game with eight strikeouts and Devin Hager went 3-for-3 for Northern. In the nightcap, Johnathon Vinsky went five innings for the win and had three hits and two RBIs at the plate for Harrison (2-6). Andrew Simon tossed 5.1 innings with seven strikeouts and had two hits and two RBIs for Northern (5-2).

Softball

Woodhaven 8-8, Dundee 7-0: In the first game, Emma Sikina and Selena Lasorda both went 2-for-4 for Woodhaven. In the nightcap, Alyssa Harris and Haili Neal each had a pair of hits for Woodhaven (11-0)
