Friday's roundup: Clintondale outslugs Macomb Christian

The Clinton Township Clintondale baseball team defeated Macomb Christian 17-13 in a non-league matchup Friday.

Jordan Edwards earned the save, pitching 1-1/3 innings with two strikeouts, and Brandon Beasley and Jesus Johnson were each 2-for-3 with three RBIs for Clintondale (13-10).

Nathan Reese was 2-for-4 with a double and a grand slam for Macomb Christian.

Clintondale will face Center Line in a Macomb Area Conference crossover next Wednesday for the final game of the regular season.

Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood 8, Madison Heights Lamphere 0: Matt Thelen pitched a complete game with four hits and six strikeouts, Nolan Trepeck was 3-for-4 with an RBI, and Jordyn Finney was 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Cranbrook-Kingswood (15-19-2).

Rochester 12, Macomb Dakota 0 (5 inn.): Thomas Loftus and Tyler Frankhouse each had two hits, and Albert Nagy pitched a complete game with five strikeouts for Rochester (21-12). Dakota is 26-8.

Royal Oak 2, Berkley 0: Justin Marshall pitched a complete game four-hitter with four strikeouts, and Austin Sophiea and John Hock each had an RBI for Royal Oak (19-8). Berkley is 15-10.

Track & field

Harper Woods Chandler Park won the Wayne County Championship track meet. Jada Steele of Chandler Park was named the MVP, and set two meet records including the 110 meter hurdles (15.10) and the long jump (18 ft 0 in).
