David Goricki of The Detroit News looks ahead at this week’s top games, and looks back at the best from last week.

Top five games this week (all games 7 p.m. Friday unless noted)

Warren De La Salle (3-1) at Orchard Lake St. Mary’s (4-0): A Catholic League Central Division showdown between defending state champs — De La Salle (Division 2) and St. Mary’s (Division 3). St. Mary’s won last year’s matchup 14-10.

Warren Mott (4-0) at Clinton Township Chippewa Valley (3-1): Mott, averaging 40 points, took down three-time MAC Red Division champ Macomb Dakota a couple of weeks ago. Now it has an important trip to Chippewa Valley to try to take the upper hand in the division race.

Southfield (3-1) at Farmington Hills Harrison (3-1): The teams have bounced back from opening losses. Harrison, which earned a share of the OAA White title last year with Southfield and Oak Park, reunites with former WR Tyrone Lyte, who left Harrison for Southfield.

Belleville (3-1) at Dearborn Heights Robichaud (4-0): Belleville has shown its muscle in the Western Wayne Blue, defeating Dearborn and Dearborn Fordson. Robichaud has scored 48 or more in three games.

Detroit Cass Tech (4-0) at Detroit King (4-0), noon Saturday: Cass Tech has been king of the PSL the past few years, but King wants that title back. King added transfers Martell Pettaway, Armani Posey, Lawrence Bryant and former Cass Tech cornerback LaVert Hill.

Last week’s top five games

Lincoln Park 18, Wyandotte 15: QB Steve Glenn rallied Lincoln Park (3-1) from a 15-12 deficit in the fourth quarter to defeat Downriver League power Wyandotte (3-1). Glenn had 150 yards passing and 65 rushing. Devin Carson scored the winner (19-yard run) with a minute left. Wyandotte’s last chance ended when a TD was nullified because the receiver’s foot was on the back line of the end zone.

Zeeland West 38, Comstock Park 28: Darius Perisee rushed for 222 yards and had TD runs of 50 and 53 yards as Zeeland West (4-0) rallied from a 20-14 deficit. Pat Naughton threw for 263 yards and three TDs for Comstock Park (3-1).

Walled Lake Northern 36, Waterford Mott 25: Miller Carlock came in for injured A.J. Chuchla early in the KLAA North Division game and rushed for 190 yards and three TDs to lead Northern (3-1). Northern led 21-13 at halftime, then took its first possession of the second half to open a 29-13 cushion.

Clinton Township Chippewa Valley 49, Warren Cousino 27: Patrick Briningstool had four TD passes as Chippewa Valley (3-1) handed Cousino its first loss. Briningstool has thrown for more than 1,000 yards and 13 TDs.

Portland 28, Lansing Catholic Central 6: Portland sacked Tony Poljan three times and had four interceptions to improve to 4-0. Catholic Central (3-1) couldn’t stop Portland’s wishbone offense, which piled up 329 yards.
