A little over a week after decomitting from Alabama, Khalid Kareem, a four-star defensive end at Farmington Hills Harrison, posted on Twitter Friday afternoon that he has committed to Notre Dame.
"Thank you to all the colleges that recruited me and the schools that overlooked me," Kareem tweeted. "As a early enrollment student/athlete, the combination of great academics and great football is most important to my family and I.
"I'm 100 percent committed to further my education and play college football at the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish."
Kareem originally committed to Michigan State back in February but decommitted a short time later. Then in June, he committed to Alabama during a news conference broadcast by ESPN before announcing on Twitter on Oct. 14 that he was decomitting.
Kareem said he was considering Michigan and Notre Dame, and also took an official visit to Notre Dame last weekend.
