Saturday’s roundup: Elliott ignites East English

Gregory Elliott had 35 points and 16 rebounds as Detroit East English defeated Kalamazoo Central, 71-65, in a non-league boys basketball game Saturday.

Karmari Newman added 16 points for East English (6-2).

Isaiah Livers scored 14 points for Central (6-2).

North Farmington 74, Detroit Pershing 58: Billy Thomas scored 31 and Amari Hardy 15 for North Farmington. David Syfax scored 16 for Pershing.
