Lavelle Williams and Tamarion Johnson came up big in Southfield Bradford Academy’s 63-56 victory over visiting Warren Michigan Collegiate on Friday in the consolation game of the Charter School Conference Tournament.

Williams finished with 17 points for Bradford.

“(Williams) just got off to a hot start,” Bradford coach RaRedding Murray said. “His defense brings energy and it usually turns into offense.”

Johnson had 10 points, 18 rebounds and five blocks.

“Tamarion has been steady all year long,” Murray said. “He controlled the glass and had some huge blocks down the stretch. Defensively, he controlled the game.”

“They were both big late in the game.”

Justin Parker led Warren Michigan Collegiate with 12 points.
