Justin Fischer swiped an inbounds pass with 30 seconds left and scored on the fast break to give Warren De La Salle a four-point lead that would hold over Cincinnati Walnut Hills (Ohio), 68-64, on Tuesday in boys basketball.

Fischer was the game’s high scorer with 18, and Luke Pfromm added 16 for De La Salle (3-2).

The teams played evenly for the entire game. De La Salle (3-2) trailed Walnut Hills early (3-3) but only by four at the half.

De La Salle made their move in the third quarter, outscoring Walnut Hills 23-15.

“We kept alternating our defense, but our zone was working so well we decided to use more of it in the third quarter and stayed that way late into the game,” De La Salle coach Greg Esler said.

Malcolm Moffitt and Jordan Henderson led the way for Walnut Hills with 17 points each.

As a team, Walnut Hills shot well, netting 10 three-pointers.

The game was the fourth of seven boys games on Tuesday in the Motor City Roundball Classic at Detroit Renaissance High School.

De La Salle plays Detroit Country Day on Wednesday at 5:40 p.m. in the Roundball Classic
