Detroit Loyola named William Tandy head football coach this week.

William Tandy

Tandy was the head coach of the Westside Cubs of PAL the last 23 years, working with such college stars as Desmond King of Iowa, Jourdan Lewis of Michigan and Malik McDowell of Michigan State.

Tandy replaces John Callahan, who guided Loyola to three consecutive Division 7 state title game appearances from 2013-15, winning the championship in 2015 before falling to Pewamo-Westphalia in the Division 7 state title game this past fall.

Callahan recently accepted the head coaching job at New Haven.
