Class B roundup: Owens-White leads River Rouge to semis

Darian Owens-White scored 24 points, including game-winning 3-pointer with 3 seconds left, to lead River Rouge to a 54-51 victory over Williamston in a Class B boys basketball quarterfinal Tuesday at Chelsea High School.

Dre’Quan Bell also had 18 points for River Rouge (24-1), which advances to play Ludington (24-2) in the semifinals 7:45 p.m. Friday at Breslin Center in East Lansing. Sean Cobb and Cole Kleiver each had 19 points for Williamston (21-6).

Class B quarterfinal at Marysville

New Haven 73, Detroit Osborn 66: A.J. Crawford III had 20 points and 11 rebounds; Eric Williams Jr. 16 points and 13 rebounds; and Romeo Weems 15 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists for New Haven (25-1), which plays Benton Harbor (22-3) at 6 p.m. Friday in the semifinals at Breslin Center. Armonee Felder scored 21, Kenneth Holloway 18 and Jamie Lloyd 17 for Osborn (16-10).
