Detroit East English Village Prep had two players score more than 20 points in its 73-41 victory over Detroit Cody on Wednesday.

Jayla Smith had 26 points and seven assists, Alexis Thompson 25 points and 10 rebounds and Kendall Taylor finished with a double-double with 12 points and 10 assists for East English (6-4).

East English has won two in a row, dominating in both games. On Monday, the school defeated Detroit Pershing, 53-36.

Detroit Cody, which started the season on a seven-game winning streak, has cooled off during the final stretch of the regular season, having lost three in a row.

Both teams will look to finish strong in the league before the PSL playoffs, which start next week.

Detroit Mumford 63, Detroit Osborn 30: Tierra Ernest scored 18, Monica Williams 12 and Brooklyn Taylor 10 points and 10 assists for Mumford (9-3, 4-0 PSL West 1). Maria Martin had 10 points and 12 rebounds for Osborn.

Detroit King 55, Detroit Henry Ford 41: Diamond Cannon had 15 points and 10 rebounds, Jordan Lewis, Danielle Kemp and Dejanae Williams each scored 12 for King (9-2). Henry Ford is 5-6.

Detroit Renaissance 50, Detroit Pershing 20: Kailee Davis had 15 points for Renaissance (8-5, 4-1 PSL West 1).

Detroit Southeastern 29, Detroit Central 14: Kyla Murphy had 15 points, Serena Allen and Keyana McCraney scored six, and Destiny Fudge two for Southeastern (4-8, 3-4 PSL East 2).
