Street & Smith’s College Football publication came out last month, and a pair of offensive linemen from the state of Michigan made the Prep Class of 2019 All-America First-Team.

Devontae Dobbs of Belleville and Logan Brown of East Kentwood earned first-team honors by the publication.

Brown is ranked as the state’s No. 1 player and No. 2 tackle in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite, with Dobbs ranked No. 2 in the state and the No. 3 tackle in the country.

And, while Brown already has committed to Wisconsin, Dobbs narrowed his field to eight teams in late May with Michigan State, USC, Georgia, Oklahoma, Clemson, Auburn, Florida State and Ohio State still alive for his services. Michigan failed to make the cut.

“Devontae’s narrowed his field to eight schools and he plans to start taking his officials, the first one to Auburn next weekend,” Belleville coach Jermain Crowell said.

Dobbs will visit Auburn on June 15.

Belleville three-star defensive lineman Jalen Hunt will be busy during the next few weeks. The 6-foot-3, 260-pound Hunt will be taking an official visit to Missouri this weekend, Michigan State on June 15 and Iowa on June 22.

He was offered by the Spartans in mid-April.

Belleville four-star receiver/defensive back Julian Barnett already has committed to Michigan State and three-star Belleville linebacker Marvin Ham to Boston College.
