Birmingham Marian (1-0) overcame a six-point deficit in the second half to defeat Clarkston (0-1) 54-48 at Clarkston High School on Monday night.

Marian’s senior Sarah Sylvester and sophomore Mckenzie Swanson led all scorers with 16 points each in the win.

Birmingham Marian guard Anna Herberholz, right, looks to pass away from Clarkston’s Emily Valencia in the fourth quarter.
