From childhood friends to track stars, seniors Kaila Jackson and Leeah Burr have propelled Detroit Renaissance into a perennial state championship threat.

Jackson, a University of Georgia commit, and Burr, a Texas A&M commit, have played a pivotal role in Renaissance’s back-to-back runner-up spots in the Division 1 state meets.
