Nick Plummer, a 5-11, 205-pound senior outfielder from Birmingham Brother Rice, is No. 8 on ESPN's list of the top 30 prospects for the 2015 MLB draft.
The list (pay site) was compiled by Keith Law and Christopher Crawford.
"Plummer is an advanced left-handed hitter with a great combination of bat speed and hand-eye coordination, showing above-average power and speed over the summer," Law and Crawford report. "But he faces some questions as a sub-6-foot hitter who might end up in an outfield corner."
Plummer was named to the 2014 Michigan All-State Dream Team by the Michigan Baseball Coaches Association. He hit .573 with eight homers and 34 RBI for Brother Rice last season.
