Quick hits

Here’s what you need to know:

■ The Tigers, coming off an 11-inning, 8-6 win over the Rays on Tuesday, play the second of a three-game series at Tropicana Field.

■ Rick Porcello, Wednesday’s Tigers starter, has lost three straight starts. He is making his fourth start at Tropicana Field, where he is 1-2 with a 3.10 earned-run average.

■ The Tigers’ J.D. Martinez got some bad news from Major League Baseball on Wednesday: He has been given an error on a play against the Blue Jays from an Aug. 8 game in Toronto.

Originally, Toronto’s Munenori Kawasaki was credited with a double and went on to score a run on a fly ball. Now, Martinez is charged with an error, Kawasaki’s run is unearned, and Tigers pitcher Anibal Sanchez is charged with three earned runs instead of four.
