* Lobstein made his MLB debut on Saturday in the Tigers' 12-4 loss in Minnesota. He threw 100 pitches in relief over 5.2 innings, giving up three earned runs while striking out three and walking four.

* J.D. Martinez went 1-for-4 during Wednesday night's loss to the Yankees. He has hit safely in 12 of his last 13 games, during which time his average is .370 (20-for-54). On the season Martinez is hitting .311 with 17 homers, 58 RBI, 25 doubles and a .350 on-base percentage.
